I’m Katie, and I grew up in the beautiful Pacific NW, specifically Portland, OR. I studied photography in school and was always very interested in portraiture and the different styles photographers have had as the subject as evolved.

I got into photographing weddings with my life-long friend Abby, of Abby Rae Photography based in Portland, OR. Abby is a very experienced and talented portrait photographer who has photographed hundreds of weddings. As her talent and experience grew over the years, so did her client base and what was expected of her from those clients. This is where I came in!

I personally love weddings. Marriage is such an important part of our society, and a good marriage sets the foundation for a family. Families are where the future generations of our culture come from. So anything I can do to assist in creating a lovely wedding is something that makes me happy.

Our Story

Abby and I have known each other since our preschool days. With the exception of a couple of years here and there because of changing schools, we have spent a lot of life together. We have both had to face a lot of challenges in life. I can say without doubt or reservation that I would not have met those challenges well without Abby at my side.

I feel like because of all we’ve been through, it makes us a very strong team. And because of the strength of the bond, any disagreement we have can render quite an effect on the both of us. Maybe because there is more love to lose. So this compels us to always talk things out so we are always in alignment.
