I have had some really wonderful opportunities lately including getting to revel in the lovely fall colors of the Pacific NW.

I have been lucky to spend a lot of time with my dad who is recovering from major surgery. This is when he reached his one-mile walk milestone on the Leif Erikson Trail in Forest Park in Portland.

Finally I see a persimmon in real life.
